Nairobi - Seven Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) rangers on Friday are feared drowned after chasing poachers in the Tsavo National Park, officials said.
"Seven of our rangers were swept down River Galana - which passes inside the park - when they tried to cross" aboard an all-terrain vehicle, KWS Director John Mukuria told a press conference in Nairobi.
"There are very slim chances that any of them is alive," he added.
A KWS spokesperson told AFP that officers have been sent to the area to help find the bodies.
