Accra - Ruling party presidential candidate
Nana Akufo-Addo conceded defeat on Saturday in Ghana's
presidential election after the Electoral Commission declared a
narrow run-off victory for opposition leader John Atta Mills.
"I acknowledge the electoral commissioner's declaration and
congratulate Professor Mills," Akufo-Addo told a news conference
at his New Patriotic Party (NPP) headquarters in the capital
Accra.
