Libya delays Aids talks

Tripoli - Talks between the families of HIV-infected Libyan children and international officials over the fate of imprisoned Bulgarian nurses have been delayed for a week.
The talks were due to start on Sunday.
A spokesperson for the families said the negotiations were delayed to allow the remaining United States and European negotiators arrive.
The talks had previously been set for December 28.
They were postponed when a Libyan court ruling overturned the death sentences of five Bulgarian nurses and a Palestinian doctor, accused of transfusing 426 Libyan children with HIV-infected blood at a Benghazi hospital.
Bulgaria's foreign minister Ivaylo Kalfin has said his country would pay no compensation in exchange for the nurses' release but would, with other European countries, train medical workers and supply aid for the infected children.
The six are set to be retried in a month.
