A new team of SA mediators have held their first talks with Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe in a fresh bid to ease tensions within the strained unity government, a report says.
Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe says he doesn't expect the US sanctions on his country to be lifted soon.
Harare - Cholera has killed 473 people in Zimbabwe since the latest outbreak of the disease, the World Health Organisation (WHO) office in Harare said in a report, a copy of which was received on Tuesday.
"A large cholera outbreak is affecting most regions of the country, with more than 11 700 cases and 473 deaths recorded between August and November 30," Custodia Mandlhate, of the WHO's Zimbabwe office, wrote in the report.
