A new commission meant to reform Zimbabwe’s repressive media laws has begun its work, three months after its members were appointed, the body says.
Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe says he doesn't expect the US sanctions on his country to be lifted soon.
Harare - President Robert Mugabe vowed on Saturday, ahead of elections next week, that Zimbabwe's main opposition party would never rule the country as long as he was alive.
"It will never happen as long as we are still alive, those (of us) who planned the liberation struggle, ... it will never happen," Mugabe told thousands of supporters at a campaign rally in the capital Harare.
Mugabe is seeking a sixth term in joint presidential, legislative and local council elections on March 29.
