Madonna to divorce

London - US pop icon Madonna and her British filmmaker husband Guy Ritchie are to divorce, Britain's Sun newspaper reported on Wednesday.
Ritchie, 40, and Madonna, who turned 50 in August, married seven years ago at a lavish ceremony in Scotland.
But rumours have been circulating within the press that their relationship was increasingly under strain.
The couple were expected to announce their decision shortly, said the Sun in a report on Wednesday. - dpa
