Heather: Rather drink rat's milk

London - Paul McCartney's estranged wife Heather Mills Monday accused consumers of meat and dairy products of fuelling global warming, as she launched a vegan campaign at London's famous Speaker's Corner.

Mills, who is engaged in an increasingly bitter divorce battle with the former Beatle, suggested that people could drink the milk of rats or cats, rather than milking cows.

Viva, an animal rights campaign group, claims that dairy and meat products are major causes of greenhouse gases.

"There are fields and fields of grain just miles from starving children in Africa, being shipped to Europe to feed our livestock," she said, unveiling billboards for the campaign at the Hyde Park corner site.

"There are 25 alternative milks available in health shops and supermarkets," she added, saying she turned vegan when an African woman at Live 8 asked her: "Why don't people stop drinking cows' milk lattes?"

"Why do we not drink rats' milk, cats' milk or dogs' milk?"

Eyebrows raised

The 39-year-old was speaking to a group of journalists - and a few tourists - standing in front of a poster showing her in a sultry pose and skimpy top with the slogan: "Hey Meaty, you're making me so hot!"

Another poster showed the former model - who had one leg amputated after an accident - accusing ecologists of hypocrisy, next to the line: "You haven't got a leg to stand on!"

Eyebrows were raised when she first turned up for the event, as the mobile billboard showed a giant poster for a domestic violence hotline, which was then removed to show the Viva adverts.

Leaked documents from the divorce battle between Mills and McCartney alleged that the Beatles legend had been violent towards her. But her spokesperson said the domestic violence ad was coincidental.

"The domestic violence posters were for an old campaign that is nothing to do with us. We just allowed the driver to keep them there until the last minute," she said.

fishman says... If he had the balls and the courage of a gentleman (which I doubt very much), he would withdraw from world golf for 3 years, surrender all his sponsorships, give all the money he got from them to charities for abused women and children because that what he is ... an abuser ... he abused his wife's love and trust and he abused his children's love and trust ... scumbucket, a brilliant golfer and a very rich one but still a scumbucket. If he gets divorced and loses 9/10ths of his fortune to his wife and children then he deserves it. Read the article...
