Jolie makes surprise Iraq visit

Baghdad - Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie arrived in Baghdad on Thursday on a surprise visit as a United Nations goodwill ambassador promoting action to help the two million people displaced by Iraq's war.
Jolie was due to address a press conference at the US embassy in Baghdad's fortified Green Zone, US officials said.
The glamorous Oscar-winner said in an interview with CNN that while many governments were aware of the plight of Iraqis "there never seems to be a real coherent plan to help them."
"There's lots of goodwill and lots of discussion but there seems to be a lot of talk at the moment and a lot of pieces that need to be put together," she added.
According to the CNN report, Jolie met the US commander in Iraq, General David Petraeus, and Iraq's minister for displaced people, Abdelsamad Rahman Sultan.
