Goblet of fire tops in China

Shanghai - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire looks set to be China's box office hit of the year after earning 67 million yuan (about R53.7m) in the 10 days since its release, the Chinese film distributor said on Wednesday.
Ticket revenues from the fourth instalment in the adventures of the boy wizard were expected to top 80 million yuan (about R64.1m), said Weng Li, general manager of distribution for the China Film Group.
China's other two Hollywood hits for the year, Star Wars Episode III, and Mr & Mrs Smith, have reaped 75.4 million yuan (about R60.3m) and 62 million yuan (about R49.7m) respectively since their releases in June, the official Xinhua News Agency reported.
Worldwide, Goblet of Fire has grossed $410m (about R2.6bn), playing in 43 countries.
