Why do girls strip?

Cape Town - Why do girls love taking off their clothes - whether it's for the camera lens or in a strip joint? Are they exhibitionists? The experts were called in to give their opinion.
Dr Charl Nortje of the University of Stellenbosch says this is not the case.
He says exhibitionism is more of an aberration - something like paedophilia.
"People who suffer from this, get sexual pleasure from exposing themselves in public. And most of them are men."
He said women who do not mind dancing naked in front of men are living in a fantasy world. It is a world of glitter and glamour. She believes herself to be professional, one of the illusions she carries with her unwittingly. Like someone who goes on holiday: at home you are one person; when you're away you're someone else.
He does not believe there are any sexual undertones when a girl easily strips in front of a photographer. She knows she is entering a world where the competition is stiff. But money talks. Many of these things, Nortje says, have to do with self-image stimulation.
Carried away
A well-known Cape photographer says some girls cannot wait to get rid of their clothes - sometimes unsolicited.
"I cannot tell you why some girls strip so easily.
"The other day I had to stop a girl who wanted to go overboard when she had to undress for a magazine photo shoot, because we can't place such photos."
He says many girls have portfolio photos taken - with nude pictures among them. "It is often for their boyfriends - sometimes after they've had an argument."
He says some of the girls get quite carried away during the photo sessions, especially if you compliment them. "As if they think they are cut out for modelling."
Mike Jackson, co-owner of Teazers in Bellville, says his girls do not undress for sex. It's all about fantasy.
"We do not sell sex; we sell fantasy.
"And it's not just men who enjoy it, more and more women are visiting the establishment with their husbands."
