Mafikizolo bag three awards

Johannesburg - Mafikizolo, the latest craze in the music industry, scooped three Metro FM music awards on Saturday.
The kwaito-cum-marabi outfit, who became a hit with their nostalgic song Sibongile, won in the Album of the Year, Best Group and Best African Pop categories.
The three member group also launched their second album Kwela, which has already achieved platinum status.
The awards show was held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban.
The glittering occasion was graced by top businessman, government representatives, local celebrities, actors and sportsmen.
Hot on Mafikizolo's heels was Kabelo Mabalane with two awards for Best Male Vocalist and Best Kwaito, the category he won last year.
Zola and Unathi Nkayi surpassed expectations when they won in two categories for Best Styled Group or Artist and Song of the Year for the hit Sana Lwami.
KB, the versatile singer who is also an actress, is also on a winning streak. She won in two categories for Best R&B and Best Female Vocalist.
Deborah Fraser, who has often taken a backseat to gospel queen Rebecca Malope, was finally recognised for her contribution to gospel.
She scooped the Best Gospel award.
Child of the light, Ernie Smith won in the Best Jazz category.
Mzekezeke sidekick, Brown "Dash" Mpamile won the highly contested Best Newcomer category.
Metro FM's graveyard slot host Eddie Makhosonke Zondi, won Best Compilation for Romantic Ballads II.
All Access Breakfast host Glen Lewis won Best Club DJ.
Skwatta Camp, a hot hip-hop outfit, walked off with Best Hip-Hop award.
