Star will need plastic surgery

Johannesburg - TV star Lindiwe Chibi, who was allegedly shot by her boyfriend on Saturday, will need plastic surgery if she wants to continue her career.
Chibi, who stars in SABC2's popular soapie Muvhango, is still in a critical condition in Garden City Clinic in Johannesburg.
A spokesperson for the family said Chibi was shot at close range. The bullet entered through her left cheek and exited at the back of her head.
'No brain damage'
"Fortunately there is no brain damage," the spokesperson said.
He said Chibi, who is still heavily sedated, can move her limbs and is responding well to treatment.
However, she would need plastic surgery to the wound on her cheek. "It's not a big deal," he said. Plastic surgery can fix it."
Police recovered the slug and the gun with which she had been shot, the spokesperson said.
Chibi's boyfriend Dan Mokoena appeared in the Protea magistrate's court on Tuesday on charges of attempted murder, robbery under aggravating circumstances, pointing of a firearm and reckless driving.
Police said he was arrested by residents shortly after the shooting while trying to escape in the star's car.
Mokoena's case was postponed to May 10 for further investigation.
