An expensive Caprice

London - Model and actress Caprice Bourret accepted undisclosed libel damages on Wednesday from a newspaper that branded her acting career a flop.
The Daily Mirror acknowledged that an April 23 article headlined "No Role Model, Caprice is a Flop Star in Hollywood" was untrue.
The newspaper agreed to pay the model's legal costs as well as damages.
California-born Bourret, 29, has co-hosted several British TV shows and appeared last year in the West End musical Rent.
Bourret's lawyer, Mark Thomson, said the story had been "very embarrassing and distressing to the claimant".
He added that Bourret's acting career "is blossoming and she is receiving continuous offers for acting".
Matthew Dowd, attorney for the Mirror Group newspaper, told the judge the newspaper apologised "and is happy to set the record straight."
In October, Bourret accepted undisclosed damages from another newspaper, The Mail on Sunday, which had called her a "gold digger".
