Dube murder: charges dropped

Johannesburg - Charges were withdrawn against one of the four men accused of murdering reggae icon Lucky Dube, when they appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
The reasons for the withdrawal of charges will be revealed when the others appear again in the same court on Thursday.
The director of public prosecutions was also expected to announce the trial date then.
Dube was killed outside his brother's house in Rosettenville, southern Johannesburg, in October last year in what was believed to have been a botched hijacking.
