Dozi's getting a divorce

Moorreesburg - Singer Dozi's 23-year-old wife Muriël is back at the home of her parents in Moorreesburg - and she's not going back to Hartbeespoort Dam.

Rapport learnt that a divorce was imminent and that the popular singer had already sought legal advice. The couple was apparently discussing divorce proceedings.

For the past two weeks, Muriël again worked in the Lategans' butchery and bakery in Morreesburg in the Swartland, as she did until her wedding in June 2007. She still wore her wedding ring and wedding pictures of her and Dozi were still up against the wall in the butchery.

The story initially was that she was visiting her parents while the 42-year-old singer was in London. But Dozi was in the country until Thursday.

Dozi had earlier said she couldn't stay on alone on the farm in Hartbeespoort Dam and that they couldn't afford another overseas plane ticket.

The couple weathered numerous storms since the wedding. Even before the wedding, there was gossip about the large age difference.
