Johannesburg - Two more accident victims died in hospital on Thursday following a collision between two trucks on the R40 in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga police said.
This raises the number of people killed in Wednesday's accident to 25, said Superintendent Abie Khoabane.
On Wednesday, 23 people were killed and eight injured when a KFC truck lost control and collided with a smaller truck transporting workers to a nearby plantation.
Khoabane said the KFC truck was coming from Bushbuckridge and the smaller truck was travelling in the opposite direction coming from Phalaborwa.
The KFC truck driver lost control and pushed the smaller one off the road. Both trucks rolled down into a ditch.
Six people were now being treated at the Mapulaneng hospital.
Police were investigating the accident, said Khoabane.
