Internet paedophile ring busted

Madrid - Spanish police said on Wednesday they had smashed a paedophile ring distributing pornographic pictures of children on the internet and arrested 27 people in a nationwide swoop.
The operation was the biggest of its kind ever carried out in Spain, they said.
Police carried out around 30 raids, which enabled them to discover internet forums used to exchange the pornographic material.
According to radio Cadena Ser, the photographs had been taken in the United States, Sweden and Asia and involved children aged five to six.
Investigators said they had information which could enable them to identify some of the people responsible for the images.
