Cape Town - About 35 Treatment Action Campaign members who occupied provincial government offices in Cape Town on Friday to call for the arrest of Health Minister Manto Tshabalala-Msimang were themselves arrested by police.
A senior police officer on the scene said the activists would be charged with trespassing.
The non-violent arrest was carried out after the TAC members decided among themselves that they wanted to be taken into custody.
Earlier they handed over a memorandum outlining their demands to a representative of the office of Western Cape premier Ebrahim Rasool.
