Zuma: I wasn't on trial

Johannesburg - An investigation had shown there was no case against him and, therefore, he had not appeared in any court, deputy president Jacob Zuma said on SABC television news on Thursday night.
He was reacting to the news that his former financial advisor, Schabir Shaik, had been convicted on fraud and corruption charges.
"There was an investigation done and it said there was no case, so I have not been in court," Zuma said from Zambia, where he was on an official visit.
"I will certainly be studying the judgment and I think that is what I can say," Zuma said.
