Cops nab alleged hijackers

Johannesburg - Two men, aged 26 and 29, were arrested for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and allegedly stolen car in Jabulani on Sunday, Gauteng police said.
Inspector Kay Makhubele said police stopped the men in the red Toyota Conquest during a routine stop-and-search operation in Jabulani on Sunday.
The car had been reported hijacked in Evaton.
The men would appear in the Protea Magistrate's Court on charges of possession of an unlicenced firearm and possession of a stolen vehicle.
The two would later appear in the Evaton Magistrate's Court on a charge of car hijacking.
