Robbers hit Jhb jewellery shop

Johannesburg - Four armed men made off with an undisclosed amount of money and jewellery after robbing a store in Northgate on Thursday, Johannesburg police said.
Inspector Hein van Heerden said the four entered a jewellery store at the Northgate Shopping Centre and held staff at gunpoint at about 08:00.
"They demanded the money from the cash register and the safe. They took an undisclosed amount of money and several pieces of jewellery and fled from the scene on foot."
They fired several shots in the shopping centre while running away. No one was injured.
"The fleeing suspects also hijacked two vehicles from the parking area to make their getaway."
No arrests had been made.
