Resort owner shot

Nelspruit - The owner of a pleasure resort near White River in Mpumalanga was shot in the stomach on Saturday when he was attacked by an armed gang, police reported.
Captain Mary Gama said William Jansen, 55, who operated a game reserve, chalets, and a restaurant on his farm Bundu, left the farm on Saturday and returned at 19:00.
When he stopped at the farmhouse he was confronted by a gang of six men, all with firearms.
The men forced Jansen into the house, but a scuffle started and Jansen was shot in the stomach, said Gama.
The men then ran away, apparently without taking anything.
Jansen was admitted to a private hospital in Nelspruit in a serious condition, said Gama. He had not recognised any of the attackers.
No-one had been arrested yet.
