Durban - A 30-year-old Durban man has been arrested for allegedly gunning down an 86-year-old man in his bathtub, police said on Wednesday.
Constable Siwe Nxumalo said the man was arrested in KwaMashu on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the motive for the killing was believed to be a revenge attack over a woman.
It is alleged that the man's girlfriend had left him for the victim, Khalesakhe Xulu, who she intended to marry.
Nxumalo said Xulu was bathing at the KwaMashu Men's Hostel on March 19 when he was shot dead.
The 30-year-old was due to appear in the Verulam Magistrate's Court on Thursday, police said.
