Cape Town - The American freighter that was grounded on a sandbank in Table Bay for nearly a month has been involved in another accident.
The Sealand Express caused damage of nearly $6m (about R40m) to a freighter wharf in Hampton, Virginia (USA), when it crashed into a crane on the dock on January 31.
Nobody was injured, but management at the wharf said it would cost about R40m if the 28-year-old crane had to be replaced.
The Sealand Express wasn't seriously damaged and was allowed to leave the harbour a few days later.
