Woman dies in parachute fall

Johannesburg - A 27-year-old woman fell to her death during a parachuting competition at Weetgekraal farm in Bapsfontein, Mpumalanga police said on Sunday.
Superintendent Abie Khoabane said the woman, from Johannesburg, somehow lost control of her parachute at 16:30 on Saturday and fell 100m to the ground.
Her name would be released once next-of-kin had been notified, said Khoabane.
