Johannesburg - The High Court here was told on Monday that Gauteng chef Fanwell Khumalo's DNA matched that of a child serial rapist 21 times.
Khumalo is alleged to have raped schoolgirls over a period of years and faces 132 charges.
Superintendent Greg de Wet of the police forensic laboratories, who has spent five days in the witness box, told the court how the DNA matched that of Khumalo.
Khumalo's DNA had been compared with samples from the victim's clothing and results came out positive.
Some of the evidence presented to court had been taken in camera by the forensic laboratories team.
Forty-three children had testified they were raped by a man who took them to a secluded spot after claiming he was a policeman.
However, Khumalo has denied all the charges, saying it was a case of mistaken identity.
On Monday, Judge Max Labe granted a defence request for the trial to be postponed to Wednesday.
