Brakpan - The mother of two boys, whose bodies were found in a hotel room at Carnival City on Sunday, is still receiving psychiatric treatment.
It may even be necessary for her to undergo electric shock treatment to help her through a severe case of depression into which she has slipped since the death of her sons.
The case against 34-year-old Sharon Loshenee Paul and her former husband, Donovan Soombur, 32, the father of the two children, has been postponed in Paul's absence to July 15.
The parents have been charged with two counts of murder.
The children were apparently given an overdose of painkillers on Sunday morning.
Prosecutor Dick Hatting said on Wednesday that Paul, who was admitted to hospital following her arrest on Monday, was unable to attend the court hearing.
Paul is apparently severely traumatised and still shocked about the incident.
She is also receiving treatment for cuts on her wrists. She apparently tried to commit suicide following the death of her children.
The bodies of Aston, 11 and Aidon, 9, were found in a room in the Road Lodge hotel on Sunday morning. Police confiscated a container with painkillers and a letter apparently written by Paul.
Soombur remains in custody.
