Stutterheim - The arrival of the blonde boy now known as Happy Sindane caused a major upheaval in the townships when his mother brought him there when he was only a month old.
"It was a terrible shock, because those days it was shameful to have a white father. On top of that, the father, a white German from Johannesburg, wanted nothing to do with the mother or child."
So said Rozie Mzayiya, who claims to be the aunt of the youth claiming to have been abducted from his biological family when he was six years old.
Mzayiya firmly believes that Happy Sindane is the child of her sister-in-law, Rina Mzayiya. She said the child lived with them until Rina gave him to a Coloured woman when he was about six years old. Rina's twin sister went to fetch the boy, but he disappeared a short while later.
The Mzayiya family now want the boy, who was apparently known as "Ebby" in Cenyu Village, to come home. "I will give him all the love he needs," Mzayiya said.
