Johannesburg - The levels of cyanide in the blood of two members of a Johannesburg family remained high after consuming products bought from Pick 'n Pay, and more blood tests would be done on them, a spokesperson for the group said on Friday.
Tamra Veley said in a statement released on Friday night that investigations were continuing to establish whether the high cyanide levels were caused by the items bought from Pick 'n Pay in Kensington.
She said the cyanide levels of two women who had eaten poisoned No Name Brand Sardines have returned to normal.
No further cases of poisoning have been reported.
It emerged at the end of June that Pick 'n Pay was the victim of extortion attempts by someone who had poisoned certain brands of their products.
