Cape Town - The Australian fisheries management ship, Southern Supporter, arrived in Table Bay on Friday morning to take on supplies for her homeward run.
She is escorting the suspected Uruguayan poacher Viarsa 1, which was boarded last week by a combined party of Australian and South African officials.
For legal reasons, the Viarsa 1 will remain just outside South Africa's 25 nautical miles contiguous zone while the Southern Supporter is in port.
In the absence of the Southern Supporter, the Viarsa 1 is being monitored by the South African navy strike craft Galeshewe which made a rendezvous with her on Thursday evening.
