Sealand: Shifting sands

Cape Town - The dredger clearing sand around the stranded Sealand Express has made "considerable progress" over the past ten days, authorities said on Monday.
The next attempt to refloat the ship, which grounded on the shore of Table Bay during a storm last month, will take place on Thursday or Friday during a spring tide.
The dredging operation would continue as long as possible before then, according to the joint operations committee overseeing the refloating bid
Ten of the 33 containers of hazardous material on board the vessel have been unpacked and their contents airlifted to land by a powerful Mi8 helicopter.
The removal operation will continue this week, weather permitting.
