MTN network working ... or not

Johannesburg - Cellphone operator MTN's call centre could not provide details on whether their network was working, following a crash on Saturday.
When asked on Sunday whether the network was up and running, an unidentified call centre employee advised the journalist that he should try calling from an MTN phone.
"If the call goes through then the network is working," he said.
The SABC on Saturday quoted an MTN call centre employee as saying that engineers were working around the clock to fix the problem.
Most parts of the country were affected after the network started giving problems early on Saturday afternoon.
MTN spokespeople could not be reached for comment.
