Three Pta hijackers arrested

Johannesburg - Three men were arrested for allegedly hijacking a man while he was sleeping in his vehicle in Pretoria on Saturday, the police have reported.
Inspector Percy Morokane said Brian Mgidi, 35, was woken up by four men, one of them armed with a firearm on the corner of Van der Walt and Brown streets in the city centre around 02:00.
Mgidi had felt tired and decided to park his car and sleep. The hijackers surrounded his car and woke him up.
They searched his wallet but could not find any money. They took his cellular phone.
They demanded the keys to his vehicle and drove away.
While police were patrolling the area, they spotted four men trying to strip a vehicle.
They arrested three of them and one fled on foot.
The vehicle was recovered.
