Hekpoort man killed on farm

Johannesburg - A 61-year-old man was murdered on his farm in Hekpoort, west of Johannesburg on Tuesday night, police said.
Willem Lourens was working in his office next to the farm house at bout 22:00 when a gang of five robbers entered the house and overpowered his wife Edmon, police spokesperson Paula Nothnagel said on Wednesday.
They tied her up, ransacked the house and went to the office.
The woman heard gunshots ring out and managed to untie herself and run to the office.
There she found her husband on the floor with a chest wound. He died at the scene.
The gang took a cellphone, R60 in cash and a firearm.
The woman ran to her employees' quarters and they contacted the police.
