Piet Koornhof dies

Johannesburg - Dr Piet Koornhof, 82, former NP minister and SA ambassador, has died. He passed away on Monday night.
According to Koornhof's son, Johan, his father had been ill for a while. He had a number of strokes, the last of which took place two weeks ago.
Die Burger reported that Koornhof died at about 18:00 at the Stellenoord care centre. His wife, Lulu, was with him at the time of his death.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
