Johannesburg - Four men are on the run from police after they robbed a First National Bank branch in Benoni of an undisclosed amount of money, police said on Friday.
The men, all armed with handguns, stormed the FNB branch at the Northmead Square Shopping Centre at about 13:20.
"The men held up the staff and took the money. No shots were fired and no one was injured," said East Rand police spokesperson, Captain Steady Nawa.
Nawa said that there was no information about the men's getaway vehicles and that police were still obtaining statements from witnesses.
