Cape Town - A pastor who allegedly told a woman in his congregation that her buttocks excited him appeared in the local magistrate's court on Tuesday on a charge of sexual harassment.
According to the charge sheet, the Methodist church pastor also allegedly told Martha Fortuin, 49, a married woman, that they should "get naked" together.
He also apparently asked her questions about her sex life with her husband.
The pastor's name is being withheld until he has pleaded to the charges against him.
According to reports, a church disciplinary committee found the pastor guilty of sexual harassment.
He was given a suspended sentence of three years and was suspended without pay for three months.
Fortuin decided to lay the charge after the Methodist church failed to remove the pastor from the community.
Magistrate Herman van der Merwe postponed the case to February 13.
