Drunk has odd request

Johannesburg - A Midrand man arrested for drunken driving in Midrand on Tuesday had one request when stopped by traffic police - to be allowed to sleep it off at a police station.
Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said the man, 50, was unable to stand when he was stopped by officers in Republic Road.
With an Intoximeter (breathalyser) reading of 1.03, he was the most inebriate motorist trapped so far this festive season, Minnaar said, being four times over the legal limit.
He would have consumed the equivalent of eight beers.
The accused was expected to appear in the Midrand Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
