Nelspruit - The trial of a man suspected of killing and chopping up Pilot Masabeng, 25, before throwing his dismembered limbs into
a pit toilet, has been postponed to August 29 for further investigations.
He appeared in Praktiseer magistrate's court on Tuesday.
Aubrey Oupa Masahlane, 28, of Tubatse, near Lebowakgomo, was arrested after one of Masabeng's neighbours noticed blood near the entrance and inside a pit toilet they all used.
After the police were called, Masabeng's head, legs, hands and private parts were found inside the pit.
Masabeng had been drinking with friends at a local shop on Saturday afternoon and Masahlane allegedly offered to accompany him as Masabeng was drunk.
On Sunday, Masabeng's neighbour noticed the blood in the toilet.
Superintendent Ronel Otto of Capricorn police said on Wednesday: "That is when we found his limbs in the toilet and the rest of him in his room."
The motive of the murder has not been established and Masahlane has been remanded until his next court appearance.
