Johannesburg - The metro police and police services have arrested two members of a robbery syndicate in central Johannesburg on Sunday.
Spokesperson Wayne Minnaar said the two men were arrested after police got a tip-off that stolen goods from a Morkel's furniture store were being loaded in Jeppe Street.
Police found stolen goods valued at about R700 000.
The items included plasma screen TVs, wristwatches, sewing machines, CD players and speakers , microwave ovens, irons, duvet sets and cutlery.
Minnaar said the men were definitely part of a larger syndicate and more arrests were likely to follow.
