Durban - A post-mortem on the former daughter-in-law of Minority Front leader Amichand Rajbansi is expected to be performed on Tuesday.
Former model Karnagie Tandree, 32, was found dead by her mother Judy and brother-in-law Chris George on Sunday.
The businesswoman's hands were tied to the bedpost, a rope was tied around her neck and her mouth was filled with cotton wool soaked in chloroform. There was no sign of forced entry into Tandree's Morningside flat.
Tandree had recently divorced her husband, Vimal Rajbansi, with whom she had a son, Wesley, 8. Police said she recently obtained a court order against her former husband, which prevented him from going near her home or from contacting her.
The post-mortem, which was to be conducted on Monday, was postponed until Tuesday to allow Tandree's family to secure the services of a private pathologist.
Superintendent Vishnu Naidoo said the family want their own pathologist to observe the state pathologist during the post-mortem.
