Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune missed out on Sunday's defeat by Nigeria because he suffered a severe asthma attack on Friday night.
Khune was left out of the match squad on doctors orders, but is expected to join up with the team again when they begin preparations for the next 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations Group 4 qualifier against Equatorial Guinea in Pretoria on Saturday.
Rowen Fernandez played his first match for Bafana Bafana since January in Sunday?s 2-0 defeat and Moneeb Josephs was on the bench.
Khune had kept goal for South Africa in their two internationals in March against Zimbabwe and Paraguay.
