Man burnt to death in towed car

Johannesburg - A man burnt to death in a car accident on the R21 on Thursday, said Gauteng police.
"The man was steering his Mazda while it was being towed by his friend in an Opel Astra, at 02:30," said spokesperson Aveline Hardaker.
Another man driving a BMW crashed into the Mazda while it was being towed.
"The Mazda and the BMW collided with each other, and then rolled a number of times."
She said the Mazda caught alight, with the man trapped inside.
"His friend tried to get him out, but to no avail and he eventually burnt to death. The driver of the BMW had fled by then.
"Two other people in the BMW were taken to hospital for minor injuries. The man in the Astra was not hurt,'' said Hardaker.
Police were still looking for the BMW driver and a case of culpable homicide had been opened.
