Eleven die in bus crash

Cape Town - At least eleven people have been killed and several others were injured in a bus accident near Beaufort West in the Karoo on Wednesday morning, SABC news reported.
A Cape Town Metro Rescue official said the accident happened on the R-61 just outside Aberdeen in the Eastern Cape on the way to Beaufort West.
There were apparently 46 people on board, according to the report.
A rescue operation was being hampered by heavy rains in the area. The cause of the accident wasn't known but it occurred in rainy weather.
The injured were taken to hospitals in Aberdeen and Graaf Reinet.
