Pretoria - A third suspect in the murder of Professor William Papo of Technikon Pretoria has been arrested, police said on Sunday.
Inspector Percy Morokane said the third man, whom he did not name, was arrested on Thursday following a tip-off at a house belonging to an inyanga at Tlau-Tlau Trust, near Nelspruit.
The 24-year-old man is to appear in the Pretoria North regional magistrate's court on Monday.
Papo was strangled on January 11 at his Pretoria home, apparently by one man while he was having sex with another man.
Two of Papo's house guests were also murdered, and his car was stolen.
Two men have been arrested, one of whom was denied bail and another of whom was released on bail of R5 000.
