Cape Town - Surrounded by guards, with his controversial baby daughter on his arm and accompanied by his wife, Pagad member Ebrahim Jeneker arrived at the Cape regional court in flamboyant style on Monday.
The birth of his daughter Fatima Zarah caused quite a stir last year. She was conceived while Jeneker was in prison.
His wife Saudiekah claimed that he was the father, but refused to comment on where the baby was conceived.
Jeneker, Mogamat Isaacs and Faizel Samsodien are standing trial for escaping from police cells at the Cape High Court in September last year.
The three men, allegedly members of Pagad's G-Force, were facing several charges of urban terror when they escaped from custody.
They are also facing charges of armed robbery, attempted murder and the illegal possession of firearms.
Since their re-arrest they have been held at Helderstroom, Brandvlei and Goodwood prisons. They have been in custody since 1999.
The case was postponed to June 25 to 27 for further police investigation.
