Johannesburg - The body of a 45-year-old Mpumalanga woman was stolen from a mortuary in Ermelo, said police on Friday.
Superintendent Abie Khoabane said that Sibongile Nhlabathi's body was taken to Siza Funeral Services at 11:00 on Thursday after she died of natural causes.
"This (Friday) morning at 10:00 an employee discovered that the mortuary had been broken into and that Nhlabathi's body was missing."
Three other bodies, as well as that of Nhlabathi's husband who died last week, were still in the mortuary.
