More power cuts ahead - Eskom

Cape Town - There was a high possibility of power cuts countrywide until Thursday, Eskom warned.
In a statement on Monday the utility asked consumers to use electricity sparingly.
Power cut schedules and information were available at www.eskom.co.za, www.poweralert.co.za or Eskom's call centre, 08600 37566.
The continued economic growth had exhausted Eskom's surplus electricity generation capacity and progressively reduced its reserve margin.
"We expect the reserve margin to continue on a downward trend for the next seven years until a new base-load power plant is built... " said Eskom.
