Man's body found in pit toilet

Durban - The decomposed body of a man, whose hands were bound with rope, was found in an informal settlement in Howick on Tuesday, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
Inspector Joey Jeevan said the body was found lying in a pit toilet in the Shiyanbazali informal settlement.
"His hands were tied together with rope and he had sustained several wounds to his head, believed to be inflicted with a blunt object," she said.
Police suspect that the unidentified man was murdered elsewhere and dumped in the pit. The body had been lying there for at least three days.
"A post mortem will be held to determine the exact time and cause of death," Jeevan said.
