Bloemfontein - A man and a woman were taken to the Bloemfontein magistrate's court on Thursday in connection with the murder of Free State official Noby Ngombane, police said.
They were arrested on Thursday, Superintendent Annelie Wrensch said.
Ngombane was shot dead in the driveway of his home earlier this year.
Ngombane, 38, was the head of the Free State government's policy monitoring and evaluation unit in Premier Beatrice Marshoff's office.
He was also a close confidant and spokesperson of Marshoff, and a former spokesperson of the African National Congress in the Free State.
